Double Happiness wax seal kit

In order to create more oriental touch on our wedding invitation, Elizabeth went to purchase a Double Happiness 囍wax seal kit from bigdeal.com.sg at a very cheap price. hehe.

This kit includes the following:

1 double happiness stamp 2.5cm in diameter, 9cm with handle height.
3 wax sticks, 1.1cm*1.1cm, 9cm height (in box)
1 heating spoon
2 heating candles
1 gift box

Unfortunately because of the large number of guests we are inviting, we foresee that the 3 wax sticks won’t be enough and thus, we will only stamp on VIP invitation cards. Hehe. :P ( if possible, we will purchase extra wax sticks in order not to disappoint our beloved guests. haha. Please stay tune for more upcoming wax seal pictures.

Confirmed PG, VG and Instant Print Vendor

After a few rounds of discussions and contemplating for a week, we have finally decided on our AD PG, VG and Instant Print vendor - Mojoideas on 27th Sep 12.

Both of us like MJ for its:
- Express highlights that emphasized on gatecrash and tea ceremony
- Express highlights lasted for about 7-9mins in average (value for money! Haha!)
- Highlights includes the Jie Meis and Xiong Dis blessings (Will definitely heartwarming when we look back at the video many years down the road)
- AD photos met our standard
- 4R Instant Prints throughtout banquet (the usual is credit card size while this is 4R)
- Able to confirm the PG and VG on our AD
- Free Live Feed (this happens to be a promo for their 8th Birthday)

Highly recommend Mojoideas if you are looking for a vendor that provides everything for AD. Its also saves you trouble to find a separate VG, PG and instant print vendor.

Mojoideas (MJ)

Met up with Jaze from Mojoideas (MJ)on 19 Sept'12. MJ is another vendor that Zhi Xiang and I shortlisted after I saw the Jul-Dec 12 publication of Blissful Brides. As from previous post, we have meet up with Beehoon Productions and Unique Colours (UC).

I would say MJ's VG and PG standard is rather close UC's. That is why both Zhi Xiang and I are in a dilemma now. Although their pricing is only a few hundred difference.

What we like about MJ is their video. We felt that it emphasized a lot more on the areas which we felt are the highlights of the morning. It also felt closer to our hearts when MJ actually include the jie meis' and xiong dis' blessings in the highlights. *Plus point!*But UC is able to include our solemnization into the hightlights! *Dilemma*

On top of that, the size of the photos are 4R instead of the usual credit card size photos. *Another plus point!*

Jaze also took a pic of us and gave it to us as a gift. He showed us his printer which he highly raved about and we are assured of the quality of the pics and the ability of the printer to print continuously for 4-5 hours.

MJ is also willing to go the extra mile to video Zhi Xiang's preparation in the morning and then come over to my house to video my preparation because we stay just 2 blocks away. Therefore, we do not need to top up for an additional VG in the morning.

Decision to be confirmed. :)

Unique-Colours (UC)

A few of my friends highly raved on UC so I checked out their work in their website and FB before I dropped them an email and arranged for a meet-up.

Showed dear dear their work but their prices exceeded our budget by quite a fair bit. Still we decided to meet up with them to discuss further.

Adrian (the boss of UC) met us personally. He showed the different albums and the quality of the albums are really excellent. Dear dear loved the leather album. He also showed us what are the equipments that they have and will be using for our AD depending on our needs. He also showed us different feel that couples portray on the actual day and they will choose an appropriate song to suit the feel. Needless to say, the quality of their videos and photos are also outstanding. 真的是一分钱一分货.

He showed us a particular video and I was so touched by the vows made by the couple that I teared. Deep inside me, I told myself that I will come up with my own vows and so much dear dear. Wahaha...

Discussed about their package and they are currently running a promotion where we can choose between free instant print, printing of our wedding pics or live feed. Adrian was not pushy at all. This makes us feel at ease. No obligation to confirm on the spot.

After the meet-up, dear dear said that he will increase our current budget to UC's price. But this time, I am the fickle-minded one cos of the price.

Beehoon Productions (BH)

BH was highly recommended in Bluebay (BB) forum in FB. So I decided to enquire on their price package. The brides-to-be in BB are really nice people and they shared their different AD PG & VG in the forum. So I emailed all the AD PG & VG requesting for their price lists.

BH has the lowest price which attracted dear dear. Haha... It was much lower than our budget so dear dear urged me to arrange a meet-up with them.

Meet-up with Nigel and another guy whom I cant remember his name. [Sorry :( ] They showed us their express highlights, photos and Save-the-date video. Can really see their effort in doing the videos. Dear dear feels that their videos are not bad. But the downside is I don't fancy the style of their photos which I feel that photos are also important especially for AD. It is a once in a lifetime event. Once it is over, its over. So I do not want to take any risk.

Their package is so value for money that dear dear don't mind signing their package on the spot and also their add-ons like instant print, live feed and photo booth. But I stopped him as I feel that I need to recee more vendors before deciding on BH.

I have been thinking of customizing my very own ang pow box and Zhi Xiang totally agrees with me. We came up with a couple of designs for the ang pow box. We already have some rough ideas of how it is going to be like until I chanced upon this video on youtube.

Shall take this design into consideration. :)

The Proposal II

Genting Highlands - 5th Aug 2012

Thought that this was purely a trip for us to relax but it turned out to be another proposal for me. Dear dear planned it months before this trip. Really touched. This time, I have many photos and videos for this special day. Haha... 

Knowing that I love to watch Running Man, he made use of that idea and gave me missions to complete. Those were easy tasks but my brain was stucked at one of the mission. My best friend and her bf already solved the answer while I was still trying hard to solve it. Stupid me. 

The whole mission ended with him kneeling down to propose again. Of course I tearfully agreed. 

For this 2nd proposal, he folded 106 paper roses (cos I don't fancy real roses), a heart shaped necklace and a pair of wedding bears bought in Genting.
